Kate Hudson's character is based on Pamela Des Barres. Her book I'm With The Band makes me wish I was a groupie in the 70s. She hung out with all the best rockers: Mick Jagger, Jim Morrison, Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Keith Moon and Frank Zappa to name a few. To me she is pretty damn cool.
